@BeAware I would rather post on a platform with even just 1 other user as long as it meant I'm not on the platform run by insane billionaires. I don't think I'm missing out on much if others aren't aligned with that thought.

@ThaMunsta I'm only there to talk about Fediverse and some "niche" hobbies that aren't discussed here.

Otherwise, I'd do the same.

I sure wish there could have possibly been a way to connect these platforms in a simple-ish way....oh yeah, BridgyFed tried that and got harassed.‍️

I've gotten like 100k+ views on that platform just in the last 30 days, almost specifically by posting the "Join the Fediverse" image.

But I want to be invisible to corporate goons while everyone else finds us. That's the dream.

@BeAware I think I'm starting to be done with it too. There are so many problems with #nostr.

* Excessive network usage - over 10x compared to mastodon
* Relays auto-deleting old posts
* No actual blocking implemented - only client side
* Post editing doesn't always work
* Notifications getting lost between clients
* No moderation for scammers or trolls
* Unable to block people from following
* Metadata leaks - like everyone knows who you muted

The whole protocol feels broken.

I want normal people that talk about their hobbies. I can't find discussions on certain interests here and it really sucks.

It's why I'm doing that.

I like discussing professional wrestling/WWE and there's less than 50 people on Fediverse in total that discuss that.

My hopes are to bring those people who are tired of the corporate platforms to Fedi, because they can't join us if they have never even heard of us.‍️
