It's taken centuries for Banking to get to this point. Plus if it weren't for our current structure remote payments for goods and services wouldn't have anything to build on.
Hell, taking gold and giving back an equal amount minus a small fee was the initial work of the Knights Templar.
After centuries of work like that, they got turned on by the King of France and the Pope becauce the king didn't want to take a loan out for his next war.

@CWSmith yeah...and there's still banks that crash and burn, leaving some people to be skeptical of their value.
That's why crypto is good. I don't have to "trust me bro" with anyone.
