Is there a way I can pull in posts from a time before my server existed for certain tags? I can see certain old posts from my server and I'm pulling in tags via certain relays at a decent clip, but back history for tags doesn't seem to work. Would love to know if there's a known workaround. #fediverse #sharkey #admin #tags

@jessi I don't think there's a backfill option unfortunately.
There's certain tools that can grab replies and OPs related to posts of the people you follow, but nothing for hashtags that I'm aware of.
Here's the tool for fetching overall posts from followers, but I can't be sure if it can work with Sharkey. You'd have to ask @michael and again, it's not exactly what you're looking for...️
GitHub - nanos/FediFetcher: FediFetcher is a tool for Mastodon that automatically fetches missing replies and posts from other fediverse instances, and adds them to your own Mastodon instance.

@michael @jessi personally, I haven't kept up with the Sharkey development.
However, last time I checked, they "advertise" as having the feature, but it wasn't working correctly and was in the process of being rewritten.
It's been about 4 months since then, so I don't know if they've made progress on that, or are even still working on it.
