We need a mastodon/lemmy mashup with a name that makes it clear it's for surfacing the best info, opinions, and creative works while discussing it all in public. Basically old Twitter and why journalists still love it, but universal and outside corporate control. Here people often act like it's supposed to be your comfy community, yet it's not behind any paywalls. Don't we have SMS and other options for that? I want moderation so people won't be harassed, but I also want real debate. #SocialWeb

@wjmaggos a new mashup software would be pretty cool!
Though, if Mastodon would play nicer with AP and allow for more content types, we might just have that here...
But...they don't and we don't.
