So... maybe I'm stupid as fuck, but I fail to see how giving ownership of Mastodon to a new non-profit would "give ownership back to the people".
There are MANY non-profits who do the most shady shit to pocket all the money and get rich.
Not to mention that the non-profit will own Mastodon, not "the people". Making a non-profit doesn't automatically give everyone the power to make decisions for the non-profit...
Just let other people approve PRs....?๐คจ

@Sibshops well...let's hope so. However, they do have a US non-profit as well.
