@LivInTheLookingGlass well...they made it so each user can set the language of their post, then made it so that you can filter languages you don't wanna see from *public* timelines. So, if you're seeing other languages in public timelines, it's the poster's fault.
It only works in public timelines because it assumes that if you follow someone, you realize they're posting in another language and don't care.

@BeAware I wish that logic didn't apply to boosts, then. I follow a lot of people who are bilingual, but since I don't speak German (example), I'd rather not have the boosts of German posts in my home feed

@LivInTheLookingGlass yeah...I do see that being an issue.
I tend to hide boosts from those that boost too many posts that aren't in my language. But I know that might not be the best option cause they might only do it sometimes.
Maybe someday they'll change it so it can be optionally applied to the home timeline as well.
