@BeAware @hiker The proposal here, for which I'm not responsible for (I'm just a messenger), is technically not a logo and it does not have a specific color, it can have any color.

@julien @hiker right...it's a Unicode character...reminds me of another platform that did the same thing while countless people told them it was a bad idea....

People have it in their usernames, posts talking about Fedi in general, etc.

The current logo is fine and embodies the diversity of Fedi with the colors and interconnectivity with the pentagram.

If it's not broke, don't fix it.

Especially when the change is so much worse...

I have read it. It doesn't convince me.
The current symbol/logo is widely recognized, common and practical. It can be used as an icon (ico for webistes) or be a logo as a (mini) image. It is not cumbersome. And as a symbol/logo it is sufficient. Making suggestions is always good. But to be honest, I think it's a bit overbearing to make a “proposal” and then ask everyone on website to copy and use it straight away. #Fediverse is a community.We discuss it together first.
