I kind of thought that only #Blind people used #Mona because its as accessible as it is but I guess I'm wrong.

@gocu54 it's a very visually pleasing app. I don't use it all the time, but my favorite feature is being able to view a post from the original instance, so that I may see replies I might not see otherwise due to federation stuffs.

@BeAware I never considered that. Does the app look good artistically? I mean, is everything color-coded?

@gocu54 no. For apps, sighted people don't usually care for color coding in my experience because there are little icons for everything that are very recognizable. So in my experience, everything is usually 2 or 3 shades of similar colors to contrast different buttons and such, with icons to note what buttons do.

@BeAware Oh, so buttons and icons are 2 different things visually? Hmm... I really had no idea this was a thing.

@gocu54 well, they are the same thing, but for example, a button would sometimes be square with a small logo noting what the button does. Sometimes it is just the logo as well, but when tapped, it turns to a different shade of color to note that it's selected.

@BeAware Ah, so it would turn like, green from blue if the button was selected?

@gocu54 usually 2 different shades of the same color or grey to another color. Something very visually jarring so it stands out as being different from before you pressed it, if that makes sense.

@BeAware Yes, I think I understand now. thanks for explaining it to me.

@gocu54 no problem!
I've never tried to explain sight to a blind person before so I hope it wasn't too bad! Haha.
