People can passively hate you and you can't even know why!

@BeAware yeah that's pretty annoying, admins either love the freedom of the fediverse versus X or anything like that, but then others want to censor everything that they disagree with even slightly, going in the opposite direction. I can't imagine how many block lists I'm on lol

@pixelworld_ai well...you're instance is on 42 public blocklists as suspended. However, it's mostly "dark Fedi", so...who really cares?

PS. Yes, mastodon.art is dark Fedi.

@BeAware If somebody doesn't like you, the easiest way to validate that is by making up a story about how you are immoral in some way, true or not.

That way, interacting with you is inherently dangerous, so blocking you is only reasonable

@egg yeah...libel sucks.

I wish I would be making income here in some way so that I could sue for libel and defamation.

However, I haven't suffered a loss of income, they're just lying for clout.

In this case, I can't be certain the exact reason cause their blocklist is private. Therefore I can only assume it was from the old blocklist I was a part of that lied about me.

@egg I can't say that I often block people that don't do anything weird or suspicious and say some weird stuff about them that makes others want to block them as well...

There needs to be a way to say "hey, you didn't do anything wrong, it's just not to *my* tastes". However, even if that existed, that wouldn't apply here. Someone cannot speak for others and that's what they've done by defederating me. They've decided that their users shouldn't talk to me, but that's kinda bullshit since I haven't posted anything ridiculous.

@BeAware yeah, I think the bigger the instance is, the more significant the reason needs to be for blocking somebody. Especially because at that point, the administrator can decide for hundreds if not thousands of people whether or not they see content that might be unobjectionable.

@egg yeah...I guess it's only a couple hundred, so the reason could be less objective and more "look what he said, I disagree, we should block him" and the small hivemind just going with it.

@BeAware I have it on good authority that I'm the most hated person on my instance.
