if you ran your own atproto server you could achieve the exact same thing you are doing by running your own ActivityPub server. the atproto components are un-bundled in to distinct roles (PDS, AppView), but you can run them all on a server yourself.

@bnewbold.net but even if hosted on my own hardware, it will connect to BlueSky servers. PDS' at the very least, can't be altered to *not* go to BlueSky servers. If you change anything, it throws errors....
