The Fediblock tag is quite wild today...
1 dude on a mission to Fediblock the the entire Fediverse, it seems.
If he's got real, legitimate issues with specific instances or people, then that's fine. However, going on a deranged tirade isn't exactly the way to get viewed as someone who should be taken seriously.

@BeAware@social.beaware.live This Fediblock thing is such nonsense.
"I hate this person/instance so the whole Fediverse should block them and if you don't do it, I'll block you too and call for everyone to block you." -

When the network is decentralized, this creates costs for the attackers.

@SpaceLifeForm I'm not entirely sure on your meaning.
When you say "this creates costs", do you mean decentralized networks or his 2 dozen posts specifically? And do you mean *his* attackers?
I feel dumb as hell sometimes that I can't just infer these types of things.

@BeAware My new firm policy is to ignore posts with the #Fediblock tag or messages telling me to investigate someone or some instance. I now only respond to reports (not messages) that include the allegedly terrible posts that prove, beyond a doubt, that a person or instance is inherently evil.
I close any report (vast majority of reports I get) where there is bickering and where people can just do their own blocks and mutes. I'm really tired of these.
I no longer respond to people who send me links to instances and archives and expect me to go read a bunch of stuff, watch YouTube videos, or want to pull me into their highly agendized interpretations of what people write, filled with name-calling and finger pointing.
Yeah, FediBlock has become of little value.

He's on one of those fediblock-happy instances. This is their normal behavior. You know what's gonna be my advice...
Offtopic: how's your dad doing?

@jerry yeah. I only block about 1 a month from there nowadays.
In the past, it would be as many as a couple a week. It's quickly gone downhill.
Don't get me wrong, it's always had it's fair share of spam and fedidrama. It is just a hashtag after all.
However, some fedidrama used to allow you to block multiple racist assclowns at once. There has been some with real substance.
Now even that has degraded into petty squabbles with nothing but hearsay.

@angelastella yea...I kinda figured that was the case.βοΈ
I couldn't verify cause their blocklist is private. Thanks for letting me know.
That had to be the second most unhinged tirade I've ever seen here. Wild.
He's doing fine so far since the surgery.
It was relatively minor in terms of what they needed to do, so the recovery won't take much time. Just a couple small wounds on the outside and a couple small ones on the inside.
However, the hope is that the benefits massively outweigh the slight inconvenience of recovery. Only time will tell in that regard though.
Thanks for asking.

seems like too much to try to follow. you need batman, AND alfred. robin to come around just so you can smack him around.
Someone will get rich on the interface.
take out the aggression.

@ajaxStardust lmao. It is definitely too much to follow. Thankfully he showed his mental capacity quite early on and saved me some time.
Thanks for that south park time trip.
Haven't watched south park in a long time and I loved this high school musical parody episode!

By being decentralized, it creates costs for the attackers that want to stifle open communication.
Fascists do not want people to communicate freely, because they do not want people to learn what is happening.

@SpaceLifeForm thanks for clarifying. That definitely makes sense.
