Why has #Mastodon stopped showing embedded/preview pictures for YouTube links?

@kat probably a YouTube thing.

They might have noticed 30,000+ servers hitting their servers for link previews thousands of times daily costs them a few cents and they're spiting us for those few cents.

Maybe not, but that's my idea.

@BeAware @kat AFAIK it works not with the short URL.

@morph @kat it hasn't been working for either type of URL for some.‍️
