While some TT users don’t want to move to Meta, I don’t think it’s for the same reason that Bluesky users want to avoid Threads
Those TT users dislike the Reels algo and actually want something highly targeted. AT protocol wouldn’t do that -

AT protocol wouldn’t do thatHm, there's nothing about the AT Protocol itself that would block an app to use it while also applying a TikTok like algo. Bluesky decided to have a default chrono feed and an optional (frankly sub-par) Discover feed, but other AT implementations don't have to follow that decision!

Yeah I don't think it is technically impossible to do, I just don't think that hyper-personalized algorithms are the focus of people making open-protocol based apps

More of a who is developing this than a what are they using...Ah, that's totally fair. Although, if an @mcuban were to invest (which he said he's interested in!) then I think the ship would steer toward being more TikTok-like. Only time will tell, though!
