Several times a day I think I should post something, so I type it all up in this little text box. I really get into it, I think it through all the way, then I try to remember all the hashtags I'm supposed to be using to generate #engagement here on #mastodon, and then I reconsider and wonder what on earth I am thinking that I need to publicize random streams of consciousness on this (or any other platform).

When they happen, I enjoy the interactions here (really, I do!), but it's hard for me to develop a sense of community on platforms like this. At least that's my take away after almost a year on here.

OTOH, here at least most of the folks replying are real people, so there's that!
