When thinking about decentralized social networking, the Fediverse is taking the approach of having the content travel (I post from Mastodon, you read from Threads).

I think a much better model is one where the social graph travels: when I log in on a 3rd party website, my social graph is there.

@julien51 This technically already exists with Nostr, another decentralized network.

However, Nostr is still VERY small and has several "features" which many would consider a problem.
