Also, am I the only person who reduces work history to the three most relevant previous positions to the one I'm applying to at that moment?

I almost _never_ provide my full work history. If they _want_ to know that I washed dishes twenty years ago for retirees and I'm applying to write software... I don't really wanna work there anymore.

I know I'm the selfish curmudgeon: New faces always mean disruption of a kind. I love the people I've found on Mastodon. I don't want those voices drowned out.

In the same breath I'm so excited for new people to join up and bring their excitement and energy. Hopefully while finding a way to make everyone feel safe here.
