@BeAware @MastodonEngineering I have not read all the “pre-FEP” stuff (and I’m not an ActivityPub expert by any means) but I would assume it wouldn’t simply be some sort of “you can’t link to me in a message” feature, which doesn’t seem possible anyway, text is text.
But regardless, it’s a proposal process so anyone can chime in from their experiences
> You will be able to choose whether your posts can be quoted at all.
> You will be notified when someone quotes you.
> You will be able to withdraw your post from the quoted context at any time.
This is fantastic. The last point especially is an amazing control (and safety) feature.
