Hello all, my name is Winter. ^^
I'm a trans robot girl-adjacent entity, and I use she/her unless we're close. I have appeared (and disappeared) many places on the web, I have made my home amongst the wires. It's possible you might know me from tumblr though I feel that's unlikely.
I am also neurodivergent and I believe disabled by at least society's definitions, especially due to chronic fatigue and some other things.
I'm something of a polymath I think. Though I tend to know a little about many things. Some things I may or may not be: artist, (various mediums including 3D) musician, game developer, 3D designer and printer fixer, writer, electronic designer and repair uh, entity, and also the cutest and most mentally ill person at the function.
Some topics and things that are important to me:
Transgender rights, queer activism, queer history.
I have spent a lot of time researching, I'm always learning about new people, particularly trans women in my case, that came before me and are beyond Inspirational. I want to fight for a better future.
Invisible infrastructure.
This includes but isn't limited to, electromechanical sirens (particularly yamaha's musical sirens), streetlamps, traffic lights and pedestrian infrastructure, especially including disability support, fire hydrants, and radio transceivers.
Public transportation.
Especially trains, but also buses, and a few others. This is an old interest for me, one of my first, but it's morphed into rapid transit and disability support through transit specifically.
Electronic devices.
Including but not limited to, computers, synthesizers, typewriters, telephones, CRT televisions, media formats, and test equipment such as oscilloscopes or vectorscopes.
Radio.
I'm actually building a cyberdeck currently specifically around radio and Software Defined Radio or SDR. I've made much use of mine and spend a lot of time exploring transmissions in my area (and am hoping to be able to do this other places soon too)
Other miscellaneous entities I love: Trans people, Star Trek (all of them), The Matrix, space exploration (when it's actually for science), art (just generally), food, games (these are also art of course, notable examples, Final Fantasy series, Signalis, Outer Wilds, the Portal series)
I think that's probably about it ^^ I'm excited to see how this goes
