@davidpmaurer sticking with this place for now cause at least I can host everything on my own hardware and have full control over who I federated with. BlueSky is just Twitter disguised as a decentralized system.

Ummm...so for some reason, today I got disconnected from BridgyFed, losing all my BlueSky connections.

I wonder why this happened...

They have the most server blocks of all Fediverse instances cause the admin decides they don't like someone and defederates them, then proceeds to lie about the reasoning in their block list.

So, I guess this will be our last interaction because .art and I are blocking each other, mutually, cause the admin is a bitch.

@Lane that can also happen without your knowledge and no, the admin wouldn't necessarily know either, I don't see how they could. I run my own instance and don't know who could be using my data.

Awakari is a Fedi scraper that sells data. They just happen to be one that follows the accounts of the data they want to sell. However, it's not like anyone has to follow you to see your public posts. If someone wants to use your public posts for monetization, they can.

Mastodon even has an RSS feed for every account that cannot be disabled so someone could be gobbling up your public posts and they don't even have to follow you.

Lots of drama on the oldest anarchy server in Minecraft, 2b2t, these days...

My old group, The Melon Men, has always had an "insider" problem. Since I was with them, there has been someone in the top admins that was leaking info to our rival groups and we couldn't figure out who it was.

Now that I'm not with them anymore, there's 5 people it could be and that includes my 2 co-founders.

I personally still don't know who it is, but even the founder of the group has reasons that he would want the group to be dissolved.

This is what makes 2b2t so crazy. People are sociopaths. Almost 5 months of leaking info and not being found out...

Even 2b2t's famous Spawn Masons showed up!
