@BeAware Basically you would get access to all posts like in Twitter and Bluesky (via searches or your various timelines) vs the somewhat fragmented access to posts in Mastodon. Sorry if I'm not explaining this well. I'm basically talking about discoverability.

Though on a debatable question: would you prefer a single image of all posts visible to each user or the current "federated" view?

Since #ActivityPub is not a single image of all posts, we need a better way to find posts we're interested in. Also, there should be less friction in engaging with another server; currently, you need to switch to that instance before you can interact with a post.
