@haverholm @davidgerard@circumstances.run Any advice on exporting Wordpress sites to an open format of some sort? I understand the "export all" function generates XML files, but how easy is it to retrieve everything from those after choosing some alternative platform? I have a small number of blog posts and some of them are precious so I've no desire to start afresh. Obviously I have the text (in Scrivener) but it's mostly about images and formatting.

So, given WP is willing to sell all its users down the river for some quick "AI" buzz, what fedi-enabled alternatives exist for human-centric websites?@zygmyd @haverholm I actually do this. I maintain my index page (which is a link dump) using vi in a terminal window, and then Forklift to upload it. (Sadly, my blog is, however, using Wordpress).
