@thisismissem maybe? there’s a highly personal element to it and i’m mostly venting about my identity issues in disguise. this is what the marketing snobs would refer to as “content strategy” but i refer to it as “which folders and file names do i use that sound clever without being too clever”

It has parts that are decentralized, but those parts still send their data to relays which are all owned and operated by BlueSky, thus cancelling out any decentralization in the first place. They're doing that intentionally and deceptively.No decentralization, no federation.

looks like some weird mkinitcpio issue where my mkinitcpio.conf was reset? i fixed it and then found out the built initramfs and kernel weren't being copied to my efi boot partition correctly, so i fixed that. i'm back online, i just lost like the past 19 hours of data which is all told not the worst thing in the world i guess. the only thing i would have done differently knowing what i know now is i would have made a backup before trying to fix stuff, or i would have never restored the 19h ago.

@dxciBel the “about” thing is somewhat helpful though, and kind of gets at whether a “response” and a “commentary” are the same thing or different enough to deserve its own property (inReplyTo vs commentOn)
