Sooooooooo many. So as someone who posts a lot, Piefed offers so many different features I have been begging from lemmy.

    1. Post Notifications - You can turn the fuckers on and off. FINALLY MY INBOX WON'T HAVE 1300 GODDAMN NOTIFICATIONS.

    2. NSFW tags as well as NSFL tags. That's pretty neat to have a way to differentiate.

    3. Inbox has a toggle to enable pop up notifications, which I really dig, but they also condense the messages to make them easier to deal with.

    1. Better themes.

    2. The devs of Lemmy are... problematic. They're also, from everything that I've heard (and I talk to a surprising number of people behind the scenes), a fucking nightmare to work with both personally and professionally. Piefed doesn't have the same baggage.

    3. Lemmy is Rust. Piefed is... something else that's more commonly used which means more on-hand devs.

    4. Small other little bells and whistles that stack up. Makes Lemmy look behind the times in a lot of ways.

Thanks for taking the time to write that up.

Just testing to see whether || in-line spoilers || are working now for piefed. Hover to find out!

The syntax is || spoilery text here || and it render in-line. It should look familiar to you if you use discord or telegram as the syntax is the same.

Remember to use your newfound powers responsibly as in-line spoilers are not yet supported by most other fediverse software!

If only Lemmy supported this simple spoiler tag rather than the abomination they have currently

If you know rust, then you can take a crack at it.

Just checking to see how in-line code looks.

Also, code blocks should render more nicely now too.

Is there a page somewhere that lists all these manual codes that can be used in PieFed?

I don't think there is a markdown guide anywhere that I know of. Might be something I can take a crack at it at some point.

Perhaps it should be a wiki page for !piefed_help@piefed.social? @rimu@piefed.social

                    Which raises another question, sorry!

                    I see there's a wiki for Piefed Meta https://piefed.social/community/piefed_meta/wiki/index

But I see no way to edit it. Can only mods edit PieFed wikis?

Yeah, community wikis are only edit-able by community mods or site admins. I know that rimu has talked about a more fine-grained permissions model in the future. So, something like wiki-editing being a permission given to some users without giving them full mod powers. However, that doesn't exist yet.

@Snoopy@piefed.social has been working on a wiki for !fediverse@piefed.social for some time. A markdown guide would fit well in there because it's used throughout the fediverse.

Hi, i created a wiki page here :
                            https://piefed.social/community/fediverse/wiki/piefed-markdown

Not all markdown are supported in the wiki but that's a good start.
