Which is true, not all clients/employers want to be named on a CV.
- I mean, would you want #PestControl or #CrimeSceneCleanup brag about a hotel as their client? A doctor to brag about celebs they treated?? OFC not!

@nixCraft First step would be to be even asked that question or being invited to an interview where this question is asked.
That's something you are rarely getting in that exact situation. Recruiters don't ask questions, they lay you on the "dumpster" stack.

Also, am I the only person who reduces work history to the three most relevant previous positions to the one I'm applying to at that moment?
I almost _never_ provide my full work history. If they _want_ to know that I washed dishes twenty years ago for retirees and I'm applying to write software... I don't really wanna work there anymore.
(Does this sound snide? I don't mean it to.)
