Seems like wearing a top with a decade that's about 10 years before you were born has always been in style

Associating yourself with being 10 years older is extremely popular for the 11-20 demographic

I suspect that was a window model. It used to be that actual people would model the latest fashions in big store windows.

Lol, like 40% (estimate pulled out of my ass) are xposts from .ml comms as part of ongoing boycotting efforts (recap)

Another 40 was the result of a massive increase in posting to organically counter ".ml heavy hitter comms", basically found a home for every decent article I came across/read with a focus for comms like !linux_gaming@lemmy.world or !linux@programming.dev

The remaining 20 are things I would have posted naturally, OC memes etc.

All 9k posts were posted or xposted manually by my 2 hands

I have a goofy secret, that I was never girly, girl about a lot of things. But the library I went to always had copies of Betty and Veronica laying around and I sure as hell read them all. I think it's kind of funny you guys keep pulling all this bathing suit stuff up. Cause I think Veronica later wears a string bikini exclusively. But I can't exactly remember, because that was years and years ago. I have always found the evolution of this property (which has lasted so long) has been interesting as societal views have changed. I don't read it anymore, but I do know they added a gay character at one point and I saw some other stuff they changed too.

In my wildest dreams. I bet you when they made it edgey perhaps (I know for a period they made it edgey but I don't know the specifics of it). I do like the idea that you can be real good gal friends without all the raucous sexual tension. Cause when I first came out (and being gay was as accepted as scratching yourself up with a brillo pad) gals were super dubious of my existence. As society became more accepting, I made a literal shitton of straight gal friends. To the point now where they are the majority of my inner circle. Not that I think either is particularly queer coded. Betty is just a tomboy and Veronica is just a flirtatious gal. Hahaha!

(God that sounded like I was joking at the end but I am just laughing because I really think it ends there, but things can change and I haven't read this stuff since I was young so idk.)

I remember reading this as a child in the 90s (I was living in South Asia at that point).

Strange to think about it now.

I'm... not exactly sure "boycott" is the right term for intentionally hiding the source you're stealing content from. Nor "organically", come to think about it.

and in any case, I don't intentionally hide it, I go through a decent amount of effort to both ensure what ever is crossposted shows in the crosspost listing (I HATE that "crossposted from" autogenerated link regardless of whatever about .ml, because there's already a dedicated system for showing where things are crossposted from) and OC is properly credited, just properly credited to the user themselves.

As far as organically goes, how is coming across a link/article on my own "in the wild" and posted to Lemmy when it wasn't before, not "organic"? Lol
