this is still super cool though. nodebb has rocketed up my list of "software to try selfhosting" (it was already pretty high on my list but I forgot about it)

That's because NodeBB itself doesn't support emoji in usernames so it's a bit of a bigger project

It's possible though, just not as high on our priorities right now.

@julian i i wish these were just inline images but from a practical standpoint it's nice that we have them at all
