Yes. Only social media. Mastodon is entirely sufficient once you get a good collection of follows.

Yeah and I'm addicted, but I really wish it had a better discovery process. Lots of people have complained about it. There are several sites that attempt to index content but they are designed for aliens and unusable.
I barely ever use Facebook any more, it's just a tool with a couple of useful chats on it, but the random feed and cross-pollution on it was actually *useful* at times.
On Mastodon, even through feeds, it's a dark, quiet place.

@LianaBrooks, yep. I still have my Facebook profile but I have cleaned it up almost complately and only use it for a few FB groups and Messenger.

@LianaBrooks yes and no. Mastodon is my Twitter, Lemmy is my Reddit, Pixelfed is my Instagram and Loops is my TikTok - all works great. However I have not found a Fediversed Facebook, GitHub and LinkedIn yet so the digital migration is not completed

@LianaBrooks yes. only one i use. working? i hear about cool weird computer things and i guess the us politics. working fine for me. wish more people who lived in Taiwan used it.

@LianaBrooks Yes and yes.
Been my only SoMe for two and a half years or so.Both for a sense of community on my local instance as well as keeping up-to-date with news that is generally not very well covered on traditional media.

Yes and yes. But I don't expect much from social media to be fair. Interesting ppl, a nice chat here and there, some news, nice pics of cats and flowers, no shite shoved in my face by a dark algorithm. -

@LianaBrooks Yes, Social Media started out with G+ for me. Nowadays I am on Mastodon only. And it works great. I learn a lot here, 99+% of all interactions are very civil.

@LianaBrooks Yes and yes. I primarily post here - rarely on FB (yes, I still have it because my family and the Deaf community still use it). I love the interaction here - it’s far more uplifting and educational than any other social media I’ve used.
