Lemmy 1.0 is backwards compatible with the current API v3. You can try it here. This uses the API from our test instance at voyager.lemmy.ml which runs the latest alpha version.

That's good to hear, but I was more thinking about Alexandrite not supporting features introduced in Lemmy 1.0

Fun Fact: A Lemmy.ml admin actually banned me a long ass time ago when I was on startrek.website. Why?
I made a post criticizing China treatment of LGBTQ+ characters in film on the lemmy.ml memes community.
The ban didn't last long, probably because the admin had messaged me several times prior saying how much they liked my memes and my contributions to lemmy, but I have only made one post to a lemmy.ml community since. And that one was a mistake...

Piefed allows to disable notifications on posts and comments, that's a quite handy feature
Same goes for Friendica afaik
