This is a shout out to an extremely nearsighted architect more than anything, I suppose technically the architects that designed this were from ancient Egypt but any way, this wasn't built to be a Bass pro shop, it was originally going to be an arena but it turned out that pyramids are the least efficient shape for optimizing space, so they had to alter their plans, it wasn't a good shape for this, it wasn't a good shape for the Las Vegas hotel and it wasn't a good tomb for the dead, they were only able to get one pharaoh in all that space.

I'm not sure the tombs were built for efficiency.

The pyramids weren't built by slave labor

I mean to say, the metaphor is apt, but historically inaccurate

Hah, I did not know about this place. I thought it was a photoshop of the Luxor in Vegas. Yup this is dumb.

The Luxor is far more stupid, say what you will but at least the Bass Pro Shop pyramid hasn't been turned into a giant Dorito. Also it wasn't built as a Bass Pro Shop, they bought it after it stopped being an arena which in all honestly is better. At the very least its still a bit of interesting architecture rather than a standard Walmart or whatever would've alternatively filled the lot.

Apparently, they moved the blocks on sliders, not rollers. Rollers would just dig on the sand and impede any movement.

Also, the Egyptians didn't used bullwhips. They just paid the workers nicely.

Now, about the meme, I can't find a flaw.

"How big does it need to be?"

"Well, it's an inefficient shape for optimizing space, so let's just go with really fucking big"

It's been a decade since people found the HR manual to how to size your teams for one of them. Just let that old speculation fade away to history.

As if he would deign to actually be in the same hot desert conditions as the workers.

It's his attempt to show that he's human. Much like cuckberg, he isn't
