Is it a function of the #ActivityPub spec or just the specific platform (mastodon, pleroma, etc) that when you click on a post it doesn't load all replies which forces you to click open in browser to see the full conversation?

- you can only ever load replies when you are aware of their existence
- you make others aware that a reply exists by sending them a notification
- ...but you can only send notifications to others if you're aware they existany random replier cannot ever be aware of every interested party ahead-of-time, but replies usually end up on the (immediate) parent's host server because they are almost always explicitly sent there.
it's not a spec or platform thing, it's a metaphysical issue
