    IT'S HAPPENING

    We've got Spritely in ur init system!!!!

    Guix + Shepherd + Goblins on PID 1! It runs! It works! That's Spritely Goblins in the init system!

      @cwebber Impressive... but the actual news article about shepherd tries to be simple, but WILL NOT MAKE SENSE to anyone not familiar with the tech.

      What the tech does matters, as does the ability to explain it to the general public. Find a grandmother with no knowledge of the tech, and explain it to her until she understands this AND can explain it back to you, or ask relevant questions regarding it. And rewrite using that process as a guide, until you can explain it to anyone.

        @KraftTea There are times we speak to a more general audience, and there are times we are speaking to people closer to the know. In this case, we are trying to let the people who are close to the purpose of adopting it understand. In other cases, we go more high level. While an init system is important, the people who are likely to care already know what "init system" means.

        By the way, I don't like the trope of "explain to a mom/grandma". It's never "a dad/grandpa". 😕
