This by simply asking the question: "What would happen if you walked under a bus tomorrow?"
Which are the top 3 most prominent and vital #FOSS projects you would nominate to be equipped with bus-free zones and in-house dormitories for the dev crew?
Utterly biased for fedi, I already say mastodon, so that option no longer counts.

For me, the most important thing about building a decentralised communication platform is to step down as CEO/BDFL as soon as it becomes a viable option and let the community figure out where they want to take the thing. Been doing this for 40-50 years now - all the way up until I retired. But I was never really building products or personality cults or exit strategies or 'xyz, but federated'. Was just implementing tried and true methods for building relatively safe online spaces - because nobody else would.
