Some people here make me embarrassed to say I'm on Fediverse.
Specifically those who don't understand what the word "open" means.
If you want a walled garden, PLEASE, do yourself and Fedi a favor and go back to corporate social media.
Fedi devs are building on an open protocol.
You have options to limit your visibility.
Opt out of search features, and post with "unlisted" or "followers only" setting.
Use them.
Don't harass developers trying to make the platform usable.
Thanks.

@BeAware we need a tool like the #4opens to judge this. to make native and non-native visible to #mainstreaming people and some of our own #geekproblem who push #closedweb over the #openweb

@witchescauldron the Fedi mafia doesn't care about that. They seemingly just want a closed platform.

oh good, another “here let me repackage folks’ fedi posts without anyone’s consent” project, how very nice.https://fedionfire.stream/https://github.com/ronilaukkarinen/fedionfirelooks like it’s cur...

FediOnFire was a site that aggregated the federated timelines of multiple instances so it would be easier to see the public "firehose" of Fedi content.
People don't care that it used the same public timelines that every instance has and they could just *not* post publicly and they wouldn't show up there.
They just want to make Fedi as hard to use as absolutely possible, no matter who they threaten and harass.
