You just made me realise a non-zero amount of people have this view and post/behave however they want - leading to instance closures and defederations

i made an account yesterday, and imported my prferences over.

most of the admins left due to stress, or lack of hiring. thats why its shutting down.

moderating is for mods. admins are there to keep lemmy.ee running. much like reddit still needs admins to run things, minus thier ability to ban accounts arbitrarily.

to be fair, in my experance outside of .ml .ee was one of the least toxic general instance around, and I am worried .world the most toxic one I experence, will grow

One of my only gripes with the instance was it's refusal to defederate yours, and y'all over here celebrating the closure after the admins took that stance really just affirms how wrong that decision was.

Looking forward to moving to an instance that is free from your shittiness.
