I think the most I have gotten is 50 people signing up at one time. Usually it's 1-4 at a time.

You can feel free to send 50 people our way any time you want.

You know I'm one of the rarer people pushed here because essentially all the communities are taken on Reddit. Every name for every possible community is captured. The Lemmyverse offers way more opportunity for community building.

Yeah, I do like that you can just pick another instance to create your community. Like, yeah, it has disadvantages, too, in that new users may need to sign up to multiple communities, but it makes communities a lot less 'serious'. You don't need to agree with the moderators of every community, because you can choose or create a different one.

I do also like that you can choose to only subscribe to e.g. one out of three communities for an interest of yours, in case you don't want the firehose of all posts ever shared about the interest.

I'm rather curious on how you're doing your outreach.

How do you promote it without Reddit banning you? I just assumed they would ban anyone that was poaching users.

It's mostly moderators who remove the mentions of alternatives as I have been promoting the threadverse for months.

Actually piefed does a lot to mitigate this. Using its interface. If you go to any Community where an article has been crossposted. If you go into the comments there. It shows the comments from all communities on all instances it was cross-posted too.
