I wanted to update everyone on where I'm at right now -- basically, I estimate that if current trends continue, I have until June. I've had a few interviews that seemed promising (especially wanted to shout-out Twilio), but they ultimately went with someone else. I'm of course still playing the job app game, but it would really help stretch the timeline if I got recurring financial backing. Thank you to everyone who has made one-off donations so far -- without them, I'd have been under sooner...

Now, I want to specifically answer: why sponsor me?

I'm involved in a lot of fediverse stuff under the hood and at a protocol discussion level. I'd love to remain involved. Particularly, I'd like to continue contributing to the information side of fedi -- protocol discussions, proposal writing, and documentation efforts. Stuff that will hopefully drive fedi forward.

$500/month would give me a lot more time. $1000/month would be enough to live off of. But anything helps! You'd save me worrying.
