@strangeparts fyi, your server is currently misconfigured as you're only forwarding `/.well-known/host-meta` on your domain to mastodon, not forwarding `/.well-known/webfinger` so a lot of software cannot access your profile
e.g., Fedify doesn't support host-meta resolution, which powers Hollo and Ghost.
Adding a redirect for `/.well-known/webfinger` to your mastodon server will fix the issue.

@erincandescent @thisismissem @strangeparts i don't remember ever writing this so it must have been the old-old documentation from when it was just a github repo. it's certainly not there currently: https://docs.joinmastodon.org/admin/config/#web_domain

@trwnh @erincandescent @strangeparts yeah, there's history of people doing this, but it's also not "correct" and won't lead to correct interoperability with other AP software.

@thisismissem @erincandescent @strangeparts i'm just confused where people even get this idea or how they even find out about host-meta in the year 2024 and think "yeah i need this"
