@thisismissem @julian the one potential advantage of having a dedicated Reply activity is that it allows for quick pattern-matching at the activity level (similar to Like/Announce), but it comes at a semantic cost of reifying replies as an activity rather than as metadata or as a link relation. which i don't think they should be dedicated activities.

just wanted to say i've kinda come around on this, lol -- i think the `Reply` activity would be used to notify someone that you've replied to them, and its side effects would be to be added to the `replies` collection (in the same way as Like/Announce are added to likes/shares)

the part i remain unsure of is that current implementations seem to be fine with overloading Create and might see no reason to change...
