Stares at left nipple, blinks three times. Silently hopes the message is coming through.
I just say it directly and it works out far better with the vast majority of people that are worth interacting with than dropping hints ever did. Now if they might think I'm being forward or suggesting more than what I'm saying because most people do that, saying the thing and then moving on to something else fairly quickly and not dwelling keeps it from being misread.
Me, meaning: "You're one of my closest and dearest friends. I don't know what I'd do without you. I'm deeply grateful for your presence in my life."
Me, saying: "Cool."

I appreciate all the people who fill niche comms with actual content. None of it is monetized in any way, so there's no agenda. It's just like Reddit pre-2012. I can only hope it stays like this for a long time still.
