Certain Fedi devs seem to be VERY against the very core goal of Fedi, a cross-platform open communication protocol.

Complains about people using the hashtag because they use it for support questions.️
Didn't you do that like three hours ago
Doesn't want to be included in Fedi stats
That's ok
This has gone to the point of coding in a stats randomizer to throw off Fedi stat sites that changes every hour.
Fuck em. Unless this is specifically against corporate spyware. Honestly it makes sense considering America being fascist, I'd do it as well
Allows you to limit who can reply to your posts on social media
They're not entitled to advertise your post on their website (which is how the
replies
section works); regardless, you can still reply to them, because that's how decentralization works, they literally can't prevent that. -

@laxla no I didn't do that 3 hours ago. I complained about people posting unrelated topics on a hashtag.
Talking about a specific Fedi platform with that platforms hashtags and getting complaints that it's not asking a support question isn't the same as posting a completely unrelated topic to a hashtag.
Why are you being hostile in the past 24 hours? You okay?🤨

@laxla well, regarding replies, I mostly just don't understand the logic, regardless if I can realistically still reply or not because this feature COULD be built into core ActivityPub at some point. If that happens, I wi be SO confused. I understand wanting to remove someone's hostile, rude, or just plain misinformation reply. However, psychics don't exist so limiting to replies to only people that follow you, while the post is still publicly visible, doesn't really make sense cause there could be rude people following that reply and you don't know what someone will say before they say it.️
Regarding the stats, they were falsifying stats to fedidb.org which is rude and hostile for no reason other than being rude and hostile. They could simply report null stats if they wanted to.
It just seems like they want a closed platform and are shooting themselves in the foot and complaining about the pain by using ActivityPub in their software.️
