    "Bluesky and Mastodon are dead"

Meanwhile, @kabughazaleh: "Bluesky outperforms YouTube, Threads, and our social media ads by about 2:1 per site."

@ben.werdmuller similarly has said @propublica's fundraisers do best on Mastodon.

Dead for whom? Perhaps folks with dying audiences elsewhere.

On a related note, if anyone has a contact for @kabughazaleh, would love to have her on Bridgy Fed so we can help her successfully fundraise on Mastodon via her Bsky account!

But couldn't that be due to a more targeted audience on those platforms specifically for what's being promoted?

And if there's an audience that's not just engaging but spending money, then it's not dying.

I'm pushing back on the mentality that any of this is a zero-sum game, not that Threads is a less viable platform.
