Kind of disappointed to see the mastadon server i was on jump ship from federation so quickly and without seeing how things play out. I'm not sure on what the big risk or downside was to seeing how chips land on all this. Cest la vie.

I do wish they waited to see if folks who are federated on Threads are truly going to impact their moderation efforts, but I also understand the need to preemptively block due to resourcing and keeping their members safe. Luckily, you can always move to another instance if you feel like it was a bit too early to make the call ️

It's such an important idea and project. Thank you for all the effort you've put into it. I have thoughts I will share soon on how it might find broader appeal and adoption as it evolves. The more our billionaire and techbro problem becomes evident to more people, it's going to have an easier time making its case for average users.
