old idea for a social network where there is no character limit but also line breaks are forbidden

this mostly came about when i was considering the note vs article distinction years ago, where one of the distinctions was “a paragraph in length” versus “multiple paragraphs”. taking away the ability to do line breaks is certainly one way to accomplish that. you can post walls of text, but everyone will hate you for it because no one wants to read it
