I doubt Apple would have been able to use that encryption cause it's not public. The new spec which google updated included it, so Apple is updating it and alongside that including encryption. Seems like it's more like it took Google a fair while to include it than Apple's fault

Almost like if Apple decided to work with Google when RCS became a standard we would've had E2EE in the standard early, huh?
