@helge you are reading it correctly. the hope is that the centralized server is just a "placeholder" and that more decentralized alternatives might appear in the future (since in theory the only thing that matters is that you land on a did document). but so far it's equivalent to did:web:plc.directory:whatever which is itself equivalent to https:// plc.directory serving redirects
