@trwnh I do not begin to understand why our servers do not want to talk to each other but it's been most of the motivating force for every bit of fiddling I've done trying to get GTS to act normal

@decay i have no clue because i federate successfully with other gts instances... i'm wondering if it's like, a weird cryptography bug where the signatures are failing or something. (do you bsd or something? i forget)

@trwnh yeah my box is running freebsd but it doesn't have any trouble talking to other gts instances on linux either so I remain confusion

@trwnh I do wonder if it's something about it living at the gts. subdomain? idk

@decay i'm getting error forbidden... are you running an allowlist maybe?

@decay i just made a bunch of attempted search requests which probably should show up as 403 for you or possibly idk what else gts logs might show over http logs. i'm around for the next few hours if you're free to debug
