I had to do this two years ago at CCCamp23, I can't believe I'm having to do this again, and I'm even more incredulous that I'm having to do this about something done by an ostensibly professional events company, but we reported a safety issue up to Projectleiding over 24 hours ago and they have decided it is not an important problem, so:
@why2025camp@chaos.social #why2025 can you tell me the WLL (Working Load Limit) of an ordinary cable tie, as a member of NUTS/Captain Power is using to rig a light ~3m above head height in the first photograph here, and as you can see used to secure the light in the second?
(First photo mine, second photo @helle@tacobelllabs.net who I'm sure will agree with the substance of this post)

Similarly @why2025camp #why2025, can you tell me why this light was allowed to be rigged without a safety cable? -
Similarly @why2025camp #why2025, can you tell me why this light was allowed to be rigged without a safety cable? This is a *2kg* outdoor access point mounted above a position where people regularly stand with zip ties and again no safety. Can you imagine what happens if a 2kg object falls on someone's head?
@why2025noc perhaps you should invest in safety cables for all of your APs. CCHH mandates you use them for Congress anyway, but you should be using them every time -

I repeat that: Load bearing electrical tape #why2025
