@BeAware That's new to me...if that is even true...cool! If it isn't, it's probably not even true and probably spreading lies. Does this person have anything to back that up?
@theblogger they didn't give me anything, nope.

That's why I asked here cause I have a bigger following here that have a higher chance of knowing the truth.

@BeAware Yes! I was on Bluesky...there isn't anything grand about it. I mean, Bluesky is bluesky...Mastodon is much bigger and better. I decided to stay on here. I still have an account on Bluesky, but I am hardly on the platform.

@theblogger I have an account but I'm not active there because of their deceptive marketing about being decentralized while not being decentralized.
Also the fact that they saw ActivityPub and basically was like "oh, we can't control and eventually monetize that, so let's make something that we can control and monetize"

@BeAware I think it was a couple weeks ago, a follower of your's told me that he was on Bluseky. And that he couldn't decide whether to stay on here or move to Bluesky. I did the same. But I didn't find anything special about it. Yeah, it's suppose to be "better" than Twitter. But I think Mastodon is much better than both. I left Twitter months ago. I haven't even been on there since.
Anyways, I don't even think anyone knows who owns Bluesky...so, it's up for grabs.

@theblogger bluesky is it's own corporation with the CEO, Jay Gruber having most of the control.

@theblogger yes Jay Gruber is a woman.
Absolutely Elon is deceptive on X and Meta is deceptive as well. I'm only on threads to inform people about Fedi and I haven't been on X in years.

Someone on Threads claims that BlueSky is looking to become a non-profit. Any truth to that? I can't find anything.๐คจ
Tricia/Off Grid Crafter ๐จ๐ฆ (@ycswid) on Threads
Actually Bluesky is looking at becoming not for profit to keep the oligarchs out so I'll be sticking with it over META
Threads (www.threads.net)
@BeAware Nothing that I heard.
