i think going into 2025 the things i’d like to research, the areas most in need of theoretical development for [untitled social app], are:

- semantic profiles and their negotiation
- maintaining a consistent identity layer across different protocols/transports/schemes
- a workable model for how to meet and befriend new people

the rest of it is mostly crystallizing in terms of fundamentals and a little bit in architecture, but those are the three biggest gaps right now

more on a personal meta level, i need to get better at keeping track of and organizing all my current thoughts about this. hopefully my website will be done in the next two weeks…
