Boom! Huge update to Fediverse Threads 🌐

With this, you can now also follow folks on Bluesky who are on Bridgy Fed! For instance, you can now see me in the Fediverse feed if you follow @quillmatiq.com@bsky.brid.gy.

And, of course, you can follow my Mastodon and Pixelfed accounts:
    - @quillmatiq@mastodon.social
    - @quillmatiq@pixelfed.social

The open social web is expanding faster than ever, and I'm so excited to see another huge step by the @threads team.

We're also really close to launching an easy way for federated Threads users to bridge their accounts over to Bluesky, so keep an eye out for that 👀

Until then, you can bridge yourself by following @bsky.brid.gy@bsky.brid.gy if you don't want to wait for that!

I wish this was slightly more baked at the release but encouraging after I lost hope.

For example, I would love to reshare this post (a federated account) with my account (a federated account) and have others (also federated accounts) be able to reply to it.

It feels like a read-only feed at this point.

Yeah, still a ways to go. This interview between @davidimel and @pcottle has some details on two-way:

What are your feelings on totally different vibes in both places. Posting from one to another might not be ideal.

Everyone complains about the "vibe" of the social network they're already on. While something like an algorithm or custom feeds can aid in curating a vibe, if you follow, have followers, and block folks across networks, you end up creating a vibe for yourself.

Why should we allow a platform to dictate the vibe you want? Seems backward in a people-first network.
